Yummy Flip Flops

One of my goals for the summer I believe will be to see how many pairs of flip flops I can chew and claim as mine! A few weeks ago when mamma was cleaning out Molly’s closet (Molly is away at college and has way to many clothes and shoes, so mamma decided to get rid of some extras) I tagged along to see what she was doing and since I am not allowed in Molly’s room I saw this as a good opportunity to see what that room is all about. I have decided that her room is like a candy store for dogs. There is more “stuff” in that room than anywhere in the house and it all looks very interesting to me. The floor is usually full of clothes and shoes so it is quite comfy for me. I watched mamma fold clothes and throw them on various piles until that got boring then I decided to find something else that would interest me.

I found a pair of flip flops and began chewing on them. The Flip flops were even more fun than the foam rubber from my Christmas bed because they are quite sturdy and substantial. They make a wonderful toy to chew on and without much trouble I can bite through the rubber and tear off pieces. The foam from my bed was like chewing gum but the rubber from a shoe is more like the texture of meat! After I chewed on the shoe, Mamma took a photo of me with the flip flop and then got rid of it so that Molly wouldn’t see it.

Last week when it was warm mamma wore flip flops and when she took them off I realized my opportunity for more of that steak-like chewing. Mamma was not impressed. In fact, I got into trouble and if I had a bank account I would be buying new flip flops this week!

There are many pairs of flip flops in Molly’s room and some in mamma’s room also so I will be on the look out for some good chewing this summer. I can’t wait for it to be flip-flop weather!!

"Kitty Crunchies"

Today I made an interesting discovery. I found a box of “kitty crunchies” in the hall. Well actually I didn’t just discover them, I just got caught!!! I have been sneaking “kitty crunchies” for awhile, but mamma just found out about it. We have a box in the hall that the kitties hide “cookies” in. They think that they are clever and no one will discover that they are there because they bury their treasure. Well I am a bit more clever than a cat and I can find just about anything, and sure enough there are cookies buried in the box!

According to mamma THEY ARE NOT COOKIES! She finds my taste for “kitty crunchies” to be sick and disgusting and I am pretty sure that she is planning to ruin the fun because she has been ranting and raving about my “dirty little secret” and that the game is up. So for now I’m laying low but I’ll be keeping an eye on the cats!
